DECODE MEDIA ("we") runs ytwise (the "Service") and follows the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable laws. There are no sign-ups, so we don't collect names, email addresses or accounts. Running a website still involves some data, and this page lists all of it plainly. The Korean version is the original; if a translation differs, the Korean version prevails.
Summary
- There are no accounts or logins. We don't ask for your name, email or YouTube login.
- When you visit, your IP address appears in server and CDN (Cloudflare) logs. We use it only for security and rate limiting.
- Once Google AdSense ads are on, Google and its ad partners use cookies. You can turn personalized ads off.
- Your recent lookups and view tracker history are stored in your browser only and never reach us.
- If you email us, we keep the email so we can reply.
- We don't sell personal information.
1. What we process, why, and for how long
- IP address and request details (browser type, time of request, URL requested)
- Purpose: Delivering the site, security, abuse prevention, rate limiting
- Retention: Server and CDN logs: up to 30 days. Rate-limit counters: 1 minute
- Links, video IDs, channel IDs and handles you enter in a tool
- Purpose: Reading public YouTube pages to produce your result
- Retention: Not stored. Results may be cached for up to 1 hour so repeat lookups are fast
- Ad cookies (once Google AdSense is on)
- Purpose: Showing ads, personalized ads, measuring ad performance
- Retention: Varies by cookie. You can delete them in your browser at any time
- Emails you send us (address, message, attachments)
- Purpose: Replying to you and handling deletion and correction requests
- Retention: 1 year after the request is resolved
If a law requires us to keep something longer, we keep it separately for that period only.
2. Data stored only on your device
Some features use your browser's storage (localStorage) for convenience. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers, so we can't see it.
- Recent lookups: the last links you checked and their titles, up to 8
- View tracker: the videos you track and the public numbers recorded at each check
Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it. You can also clear recent lookups from within the site.
4. Public YouTube information
To produce results, the tools read what creators have made public on YouTube, such as channel names, video titles, counts and image addresses. We don't build up a store of this information, and we don't save thumbnails, profile pictures or banners. If you own a channel and don't want it shown on the Service, ask us through the Contact page. We act within 7 days after verifying ownership.
5. Service providers and international transfers
We use the providers below to run the Service. They process data on our behalf, and it may be processed and stored outside the Republic of Korea.
- Cloudflare, Inc.
- Country: United States
- Task: Hosting and content delivery, security, rate limiting
- Data: IP address and request details, links you enter
- Google LLC
- Country: United States
- Task: Advertising (once on), receiving our email (Gmail)
- Data: Ad cookie identifiers, IP address and request details, emails you send us
Data is sent over the network when you use the Service or email us, and kept for the periods in section 1. If you don't want your data transferred abroad, you can decline by not using the Service or not emailing us.
6. Your rights
You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop us processing it. Since there are no accounts, most of what we hold is email you sent us. Write to the address below and we'll reply within 10 days.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, the UK, Brazil or Türkiye), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.
7. Children
The Service isn't directed at children under 14, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
8. Deletion and security
- All traffic uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- Only the operator can access logs.
- Logs are deleted automatically when their period ends, and emails are deleted so they cannot be recovered.

10. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we post it here with a new date, and we announce significant changes on the site at least 7 days before they take effect.
